Micromanagement is a killer for morale. If you love being talked down to, cussed at, and told you have nothing better to do than spend every waking minute for the company, you will love it here.
Leadership is completely revenue generation and process focused, which leaves very little time to actually connect with customers.
We are told to not spend time on things unless money is there. They continue to double down on failed processes, underlined by the lack of quality data, placing blame on the sales team. We are told "don't mention data quality to the investors or Sr. Leadership. They're well aware". But we constantly question if they really are. We are told that we can find it ourselves. But that's not really the point. Did we need to hire a whole team to produce trash data? It's frustrating, and seems like a waste.
"We will not lose over price." was the call to action in a recent Sales Kickoff. However, losing over price was all we seemed to do in 2024. We bring pricing to the attention of leadership and are told "we're not for everybody", and are chastised when we ask. (It has been much better so far in 2024)
Products are prematurely released, not working, or as promised. When customers complain about fees attached to products that were previously promised to be rolled into the solution at no cost, we are told "well this is a better product than when those were made".
Finally, there is no communication between teams. Implementation questions what Sales is selling (sales is told to sell, and that it's Implementation's job to figure out how it gets done. There are incentives for Support to kick tickets back to sales in order to hit their KPI's, when there is nothing to sell, or it is unneeded.
I understand. It's all about the money. But at what cost to the customers and the company?
