Pros
Large number of technically competent people, culture of well organized code, gives opportunities to young engineers, real products that were used by the industry leaders (Apple, Samsung)
Cons
The flagship GPU product lost key accounts to ARM, MIPS core used by Intel/MobilEye is lost as well, in the past there were many divisions with unrelated businesses (like consumer radio). All this made company's position much weaker. Prefers hiring many college graduates instead of smaller number of experienced engineers which has both positive and negative sides (recent graduates have to be carefully trained).
