Pay is not great, disheveled, disorganized management which is becoming political. - Senior Software Engineer Impinj Employee Review

Pros

The projects provide a good opportunity to advance your technical knowledge and skillset. The engineers are pretty solid people.

Cons

Pay is low, lacking in WFH benefits, "unlimited" PTO is not freeing, but rather is heavily scrutinized every time you want to take more than a week off. You cannot accrue time, you have a yearly cap. From an engineering perspective, upper management likes to make decisions about things that I traditionally viewed as an engineering team choice. Things like which languages and libraries to use, sprint cadence, kanban vs scrum, etc. I find this limiting.

First and foremost, thank you for your contributions over the last 6 years. We want to learn more about your feedback, so please connect with someone on the Human Resources team when you can. The pandemic has certainly been challenging to navigate for us all, but we’re grateful to be in a situation where most of the teams can either choose a hybrid or fully remote schedule. When it comes to your compensation and PTO, we regularly review market data to determine pay and balance that against company and individual performance. Our PTO policy is very flexible, guiding our US employees to consider anywhere from 3 – 6 weeks off per year but if you feel you are not getting the time off that you request, please reach out to HR. Impinj puts people and mental health above all and encourage employees to take time off to recharge.

Pros

No employer is perfect but Impinj makes genuine effort to be the most inclusive employer out there. I can voice my perspectives, have productive dialogue, and really work with my team on the stuff that matters; not focus on office politics or things that take away from my ability to perform my best.

Cons

I can’t think of any right now.
