Pros
-good pay -teaches you to work hard and work quickly -customer service skills -free meal every shift -getting to interacting with customers and hopefully make their day is awesome! -some managers are really cool and neutral.
Cons
-FAVORITISM -I would really rather move up because of hard work and not kissing butt. -higher levels are really rude to lower levels. -poor training process. On several occasions I've felt stupid for not knowing something I was never taught. -If you're not a manager favorite they will not let you learn train in new positions. -if you're not a favorite, you're easily forgotten and tossed to the side. -no one takes the time to train you even when you ask and even when it's not busy. -sometimes the stress is overwhelming. There are really bad days when a lot will go wrong and frustrate you. Impatient managers do not help. -when you do something wrong sometimes it's humiliating when it really shouldn't be. -the managers are not supportive/encouraging and get mad at the weirdest/stupidest things. I was once taken out of a position because I didn't have my button in the right place on my shirt. -managers can be really mean. I was once actually called a hot mess because I made a mistake, became frustrated and cried. I found this completely inappropriate. -little to no recognition for hard work when you're not a favorite. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. Honestly it really all just depends on you and the store you work for. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. I know some people ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I had a pretty bad experience. I'd recommend trying it out because of the awesome benefits and the skills you acquire.
