Pros

I have been employed by Indeed for almost 2 years (started as a contractor). I have enjoyed the journey so far and feel like Indeed truly withholds its values and mission with both jobseekers as well as their employees. I am so happy to have found this organization and am excited to continue to grow, develop, and help people get jobs!

Cons

I don't necessarily think that Indeed needs to have contract roles. Being that they are a continuously growing and expanding company, all employees should be brought on permanently right from Day 1 in order to make it feel like a level playing field amongst your peers. From my personal experience, many contractors outperform full time/permanent employee and that alone can create a harsh work culture.

Pros

I loved the talented people I worked with; I appreciated being appreciated; I loved helping employers hire; and I really thought this would be the company I retired from.

Cons

The company culture changed significantly after it became publicly traded; I didn't particularly care for how they handled layoffs; they didn't always act on the feedback they received; and they were slow to jump on the AI train.
