Pros

The benefits are really good. It is a diverse staff. There is a very good work/life balance because of the way they schedule the staff.

Cons

The staff is hateful and there is always some kind of gossip. It's like being in high school all over again. Upper management ignores the problems. They don't train very well and for a University Hospital I thought it would be more of a teaching environment. Nobody is willing to let people learn new things. As a tech for six months with 3 years of licensed experience in the field I am still not allowed to do things that are within my scope of practice. My starting pay doesn't reflect my experience and licensing. It is micromanaged and there is no accountability for the work you do.

Pros

very flexible schedule, leadership is good at communicating and showing appreciation. They also don't allow others to treat coworkers poorly. Insurance is affordable with decent coverage, more PTO than many companies.

Cons

pay is low, increases are very small
