Pros

I love the people I work with. They are hard working, dedicated, and conscientious.

Cons

Management has no actual idea of what employees in the various departments do on a daily basis to benefit the organization. They see things only in terms of dollars. Recent "improvements" made in the name of quality patient care have been made rashly with no future planning and will ultimately result in harm to the patient. Myself and others have been treated disrespectfully and promises made have been broken by upper management and human resources time and time again resulting in money being taken out of my pocket despite many years as a model employee. Emphasis is placed on saving money and cutting costs yet I see blatant examples of waste every day. All in the face of being "downsized." Employees at lower levels are being fired while there are CEO's at each IU hospital, multiple VP's and duplicate management that could easily be consolidated or eliminated, resulting in millions of dollars in savings! So much time and effort is completely wasted on things that don't matter such as using the appropriate template for letterhead and making sure your email signature is in the correct font and implementing a uniform program right down to what socks you can wear. A horrible, soul crushing, unstable place to work.

Pros

very flexible schedule, leadership is good at communicating and showing appreciation. They also don't allow others to treat coworkers poorly. Insurance is affordable with decent coverage, more PTO than many companies.

Cons

pay is low, increases are very small
