Pros
Flexibility. Infor does allow some staff to work remotely; this can be a great advantage. You'll learn a lot. Good. Bad. Other. Great place to spend a couple of years learning something about enterprise software. (1.5 stars - though only whole stars are available on GD)
Cons
There is no upward mobility. The internal job board was the same as the external - hoops and all; though as an employee, you had to hold a position for a year prior to applying for a different one. This didn't matter as typically HR and management would select an outside candidate because... reasons... The benefits aren't bad, though they're not good or great. There isn't any culture as the entire firm is an amalgamation of smaller firms 'smushed' together with a wanting attempt at middleware (wait, the middleware is similar to what Oracle tried?! tell me more...). The move to cloud was a good idea, however the execution has been sad. Sad is the only word for the lack of proper processes in supporting and maintaining customer environments. 'Cloud' appeared to be sold before anyone in Consulting, Development or Support had any idea their product would be 'cloud'. That 'Management' didn't know this was occurring was quite telling to the day-to-day operations. In general, few people know what is going on. There are orders from 'up on high' but they don't filter down the to the worker bees. While there are some dedicated, talented people around the world building, configuring and supporting some amazing ideas, their ideas and concerns were ignored. They're pay is below industry average. They won't attempt to match an offer for the average. They're losing their deep domain knowledge of the products as staff leave for 20%+ pay increases at other firms. Once this is gone, they may end up a shell of the old Infor with waning maintenance and anemic development. It is actually quite disappointing; there was/is so much potential and it seems to flow down the drain. Work for Infor for 1-3 years, then get a job at Oracle, SAP or ANY other decent software firm.
