Pros

I've been working in Infor Prague office since 5 years and I'm not tempted to leave, despite numerous job offers arriving on regular basis. Here are my reasons why: - I believe I work well and have a great added value for this company, and I've been always recognized for this. In Infor it's normal to receive a positive feedback from all levels - from your colleagues, from your managers, but also from the highest management in USA. It keeps you motivated and gives the work you do a great spark of sense and self-fulfilment. Bottomline: Despite Infor is a structured, corporate and simply a huge company, you feel recongnized and an important part of it. - The management is open and listening. If you have at least somehow strong justification for your requirements, you will get what you need. I asked to be transferred to a different Infor office in Europe - and it was possible. Even though the country and new life didn't meet my requirements, the work was still great; so I asked to come back to Prague and I could. Bottomline: When you work hard, you are rewarded. I do not expect I would be given such opportunities if I didn't deserve them - but where do you get things you do not deserve? I certainly know places where you do NOT get what you deserve - and Infor is not one of them. - The offices in Prague are modern and healthy. The work equipment is top-level. - We're based in Pankrác, which is 10 minutes by metro from the city center, unlike other IT companies based on the suburbs, or not connected with the metro. - Young and multi-cultural environment. I've made some great friends here. - Homework, flexible time, absolutely unbeatable work-life balance.

Cons

- The benefits could be better. - Need to wait for a salary increase maybe longer than wanted. But as mentioned in the Pros, you will definitely get it if you deserve it - this company is not hiring with short-term expectations. - There are few opportunities to grow. At least in Support. If you start in Support, you can become a Team Lead, but that's all. The career curve in IT companies is probably everywhere the same. Unless you want to change the department or become a Consultant. - Direct management need to ask for long approvals to their managers that might not know you or not know the way you work (unless you haven't made your name yet). That's the classical vertical-hierarchy downside in a corporate companies. I guess everywhere the same. Go to family business if you require immediate attention.

Pros

Great company to work for. Flexible. Great mentors and access to leadership.

Cons

Leadership changes frequently Infor has a few "focus" industries - its best to be in one of those lines of business if you want to maximize sales compensation.

Pros

Coworkers are wonderful, and the benefits are solid. Most of the management team is supportive and easy to work with.

Cons

A few managers should not be in leadership roles. If they decide they don’t like you, they simply stop giving you work — others have 3–5 projects while you’re left with none. These same managers micromanage every detail, require you to document nearly every minute, and question everything you do even when a project manager has already confirmed your information. It creates an unfair work environment.
