Pros
I am less than a month in but so far I am really liking it. I am part of a new department that is being built from scratch after not existing for some years. With this new initiative, there is a big focus on developing the culture so that is very exciting to be part of that because it will be however we make it. Everyone they are bringing in to build this department has been really awesome and I know that they are being very diligent in finding the right people. Although there were quite a bit of people to bring on board, I really like that they are not just bringing on anyone to fill the seats but being very meticulous as to who they make offers to. The interview process consisted of meeting with 5 different people and culminated in a demo presentation that when I gave it, had 5 people in attendance. Having gone through this very rigorous process assured me that I was joining the A team. A big pro for me is also the level of training I am receiving. It spreads out over solution training AND also Sandler sales training which so far has been very educational. The office is a brand new and has a fully stocked kitchen with drinks and snacks.
Cons
Just like with anyone starting a new role at a technology company, getting ramped up has its challenges along with learning as much as possible while trying to hit the ground running. The first two weeks were a bit overwhelming but by week 3, I was rocking and rolling. For me personally, the location is a major drawback but I think it is way worth it.
