Pros
If you are looking to get foot into IT, Infosys is good. Experience with assignment varies greatly. I had great experience with the 2 clients I was assigned to in succession. As long you deliver excellent service to the client, your Infosys manager (if they are of the reasonable kinds) will like and support you. Learn all that you can. It is easy to volunteer for new responsibilities and get exposed to new things. At the same time, it is easy to get more work load because of the new skills you obtain. Pay was decent. Annual raises and new job titles were given, though small and shallow, at least it felt there was progress in your career. You can survive if you live frugally, but do not make any big life decision that will hurt your wallet.

The training they provide to freshers (what they call new hires) is short and shallow. In other words; do not expect anything of substance (at least in the US). Do not bother learning from their in-house online learning platform, Lex. Text seems to be written by beginners who copy-paste from online, not actual experts. You will better off learning solo from Youtube or Khan Academy. What will matter is the on-the-job training when you get assigned to a client. However, you must prepare to hustle to get assignments. After a month of training, you will be on bench, awaiting assignment by HR. Some people get lucky and get assigned quickly; some do not and sometime quietly layoff after a few months if nothing happens. Do not be complacent and sit waiting. Network, hustle, skill-up, (maybe even apply to new jobs) until you get an assignment from Infosys. Constantly follow-up if you are expecting things, because HR is incompetent sometime. I had to pester to get my flight ticket the day before I had to fly out of state for training. It made little sense to fly for training, when there were training classes right in the same big building I was hired in. My teacher did not even know she had a new student, and the training was already 1/4 in progress. Also, Infosys had to transfer her from India for this short-term task, as if there were no other tech savvy person who could train us.
