Pros

Great work life balance, CEO is pretty laid back, the people working at the ground level are generally pretty cool, remote flexibility

Cons

Very dated atmosphere and workforce, moves at a snails pace. Stakeholders for software projects are more than likely technologically illiterate which makes work very difficult to translate. Pay is typically far below market except for people in the old military club who often don't do much else besides delegate. Microsoft monopoly limits potential of using the best tools out there. Experience very inconsistent across teams. Each team functions as it's own company in a way and is disconnected from the rest of the company.

We strive to help our employees make the transition from military careers into our agile software development company through better on-boarding and mentoring as well as helping software engineers and other technical roles transition into defense contracting. These transitions can be challenging, but we believe that the integration of diverse knowledge and skills is critical and has been key to our success for the past 20 years.

Pros

Many opportunities, challenging, steady work. Company encourages learning. Coworkers are top-notch. Smart managers. Excellent accreditations. Company was recently acquired, and the new parent company is solid, with good management. Very process oriented. Contributes to the Greater Good.

Cons

The ranks have thinned in the last couple of months; the company was acquired several months ago and a few people left. The workload hasn’t changed, and it’s hard to find qualified people quickly.
