Work life balance ( can work 4 10s instead of 5 8s) Pay is above average People are great to work with Never felt pressured on projects or stressed

Cons

5 year vested 401k No tuition waiver Full time remote is not an option as this is military contractor No signing bonus or relocation assistance Bonuses are not as high as modern software companies (less than 5k) Over dependence on checking employee goals and motivations ( busy work where you have to list goals, plans, and document every thing you do each day to make sure you're not a "lazy" worker )

Many opportunities, challenging, steady work. Company encourages learning. Coworkers are top-notch. Smart managers. Excellent accreditations. Company was recently acquired, and the new parent company is solid, with good management. Very process oriented. Contributes to the Greater Good.

Cons

The ranks have thinned in the last couple of months; the company was acquired several months ago and a few people left. The workload hasn’t changed, and it’s hard to find qualified people quickly.
