Pros
Knowledgeable rank & file who know the software and care about the customers. Some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of calling colleagues
Cons
Decisions since private equity takeover have destroyed most of what was good about working here. Before the change of ownership, the focus was very much on library-specific needs. Over the course of the last two years, that has been pushed completely to the back in an effort to acquire competitive companies and bolster the bottom line. Curiously, the image of the company as being dedicated to libraries over the usual dog-eat-dog competition has been ramped up on social media. The customer service department has been laid waste by layoffs and a ticketing system which, while good at tracking numbers to waive in front of investors, is completely inadequate for this company and has mostly only served to frustrate customers and employees alike. The software team has largely been reduced to a cadre of replacements and morale across the company is crippled. After two years of middle management promoting each other while sending invaluable employees packing, they and the "new VP's" are now starting to get the axe as well.
