Pros

The benefits were great. I had coverage for everything, even my pets. It's a good learning environment, some of the nurses and supervisors there really care (others not so much). Plenty of units to work, float option is easy to use. Scheduling was usually a breeze, extra shifts were always available. Very diverse.

Cons

Beware: The starting pay for new grad RN's is the lowest in the state in one of the most expensive places to live in the country. Don't expect to get much more then that. No pay increase for getting your BSN. Minimal raises every year, you have to use of a tricky clinical ladder to make ends meet. Not a lot of support if you start making mistakes once you're off RN residency. They'll hang you out to dry in a second.
