For the entire three years, the expectation was that implementation work consumed personal hours as needed. I routinely received Slack messages and emails at 9 PM and on Sundays with requests framed as urgent. Weekend check-ins to handle 'critical issues' became standard, and there was never clarity on which situations actually warranted after-hours contact. I pushed back multiple times about boundaries, but suggestions from people in charge suggested this was just how real estate implementation worked. My own time increasingly felt borrowed, and I found myself working split shifts—mornings, gaps during the day, evenings to catch up.
