Pros

- unlimited time off - annual chill out (everyone's off from christmas to new years) + additional random chill out days - WFH stipend - home/internet stipend - free Express membership + up to $20/month if testing/placing an order with the beta app - super cheap health insurance (or free, depending on coverage) - really interesting work. there's a lot more that goes on than just the instacart app where consumers place orders. didn't realize until i joined - really smart + fun + respectful colleagues

Cons

- there's been a lot of change in leadership, along with how teams are structured. could be good and bad -- bad in that it could be a bit hectic/can seem a bit unstable, but good in that the changes are made towards progress/improvement and we're not tied down rigidly to how things were -- if it's not working, we change it (and i think that's a healthy mindset to have)

Pros

Fun going out and talking to people. You will interact with people everyday. You control how much you get paid. Lots of flexibility in the time between accepting an order and traveling to the store and beginning to shop. It isn't pedal to the metal to get to the store like DoorDash is. You can also cancel batches after accepting as long as you keep your rate under 15%. This is different from DoorDash where your rankings will suffer if g.t. 2% cancellation rate.

Cons

There's a learning curve and it takes a while to learn each chain of stores' items. Once you become proficient at one store, the algorithm will lowball your offers relative to other less-experienced Instacart shoppers. Overall, Instacart shoppers likely get paid similar or less than the store's regular employees.
