Pros
Flexibility, good pay, few, rare department head have a very open mind and ears. These rare departments have a small company feel, while providing large company stability and benefits. If you're lucky and landed in these departments, it would rate 4 stars minimum.
Cons
Most departments are not like that. Especially the ones with high turnover rate. Working level is overloaded due to recent layoff and exodus, with no signs of reversal. Office Politics, to the point that substantial workload is generated to win these political fights. Mismanagement, the last 3 years engineering been largely muted/ignored. The mismanagement above in-turn cost some engineers their livelihood recently.
