Pros
International Paper is the largest paper company in the world; therefore they frequently lead and others follow them. They are not afraid of innovation. For example, I was tasked in 2005 with raising the brightness of commodity paper from 84 to 92 and CIE whiteness from 100 to 146. There is often room to grow in this company with its many paper mills and roles to support them. P.S. I worked at IP until October 31, 2009.
Cons
As a very large company, there is a lot of bureaucracy to weed ones way through. Sometimes it seems that reports are required just for the sake of having the reports themselves. They did not frequently seem to drive the business objectives of the company.
