      Pros

      There aren't many. If compliance testing is your thing, or you happen to be at one of the lab's where advancement opportunity is actually available, it's probably ok.

      Cons

      This company likes to purchase other companies and then does a terrible job of integrating them into the larger company. They don't know how to grow organically. The adage "You can have it fast, cheap, or good" doesn't even apply here: You often don't get it fast and you usually don't get it good. It may be cheap--cheaper than UL. But you get what you pay for...

      Pros

      Good group of people in local office.

      Cons

      Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
