Pros

- Great core values in development. They try to emphasis rapid development while accepting re-pivoting on ideas. - Some of the nicest engineers you'll ever meet. I didn't meet a single team who's engineers were jerks. If you're lucky enough to deal cross-BU and are in a cooperative role, you'll have a great time. - Pay is fantastic! Their benefits are equally wonderful. You won't find many companies who will match $1.25 on top of the dollar you invest in 401k. Take absolute full advantage. - Perks are pretty neat. The onsite gym is really useful, while some activities like golfing, biking, and yoga is also held on site. - New employees will get to experience Intuit You-niversity. I won't spoil it, but the activities done there were some of the best I've seen a corporation hold.

Cons

- BU competition to high heaven. Don't be surprised if you're working on something that is redundantly covered by another business unit. If you are, expect plenty of competition. - Politics! It's disturbing how much of it exists. If you're aiming at a managerial position, note that you may be surrounded by local and cross-BU politics, ad nauseam. - Layoffs and firings at will. Every July (Intuit's final month in the fiscal calendar), don't be surprised to see large chunks of BUs kicked to the curb with pink slips. Also be weary of management changes. I've witnessed firings/resignations from handfuls of Engineers and Project Managers, all the way to Directors and VPs. - For as happy as it can be on the outside, never be complacent with your status there.

Pros

Office Perks: Free gluten-free lunch on Wednesdays, along with free snacks and coffee.

Cons

Zero Real Training: They do not properly train you for the actual job. The training is completely rushed and horrible, leaving you highly unprepared for the actual workflows. Complete Isolation from Management: You are entirely on your own. You will almost never actually meet with your team lead or management for constructive guidance. The "Hunger Games" Culture: The entire operation is completely unorganized and highly unprofessional. You are constantly reminded that you are easily replaceable, creating a toxic, high-stress atmosphere where everyone is walking on eggshells. Absurd Case Metrics & Restricted Breaks: The job is run like a jail. They actively discourage you from taking your legally allowed breaks and expect you to process complex cases back-to-back with zero breathing room. Unethical Directives on Fraud: Shockingly, there are instances where you are actively encouraged to keep fraudulent accounts open rather than properly securing them, which goes against basic compliance integrity. Forced Scheduling & Lack of Agency Support: Management will force you into late schedules with no flexibility. The Blindside Firing: There is zero job security here. If they decide they are done with you, they will simply call your staffing agency behind your back and fire you with absolutely no explanation, leaving you completely blindsided and locked out of your systems without warning.
