Pros

- many smart, dedicated and creative individuals that work here - highly collaborative environment - flexible work schedule - many people work from home - dog friendly office - lots of snacks and the weekly sushi lunches! - salary and compensation is competitive - lots of opportunities to get involved in new projects

Cons

- burning cash fast - high turnover: quick to hire and acquire, then quick to layoff long term or solid employees - lack of career development opportunities - lack of documentation and disconnect in lingo between teams - lack of training/onboarding for some teams, and not forgiving of mistakes despite lack of training - community still acts like a small startup but is actually past that point, which contributes to issues surrounding training/onboarding and good documentation on internal processes - insistent on using a passive aggressive performance evaluation tool. does not seem to have a objective, quantitative approach to evaluating employee output/contribution. - "Unlimited PTO" policy oddly seems to result in pressure to work more hours and take less vacation because a lot of people don't. "Why isn't this done yet?" is a common question from upper management who are often unaware of other competing priorities or the cadence of development cycles.
