Pros
Working with students on a daily basis in the classes, collaboration with fellow teachers, opportunities for professional development and advancement. Overall, I am very happy with this position and with the college in general. The benefits are good and we get along well with our administration.
Cons
Very frequent meetings and much time requested for activities not related to the classroom. This takes away time that could be used for class preparation. The college is also very staff-heavy and new people are being added all the time. The number of full time faculty is small compared to part time instructors.
