Pros
The hourly rate they pay is definitely fair, especially if you have an advanced degree. Students are usually nice and don't have entitlement issues you may find at bigger universities.
Cons
Students, while nice, tend to have lower retention rates. Especially considering how many have children and home issues, it is likely (and depressing) to see many of your students no longer show up to class. Getting a full-time teaching job here is very difficult, so unless you have other work then the nice hourly pay is negated.
