Pros
-flexible in and out times, plus one day remote -provided with tshirts, hats, other "swag" -friends with coworkers, group lunches together offsite (not paid for by college but still it is good to make friends)
Cons
-paid below market rate -very large workload for one person -got promoted, higher position created for me, and I was still "average" on my employee review -merit-based raises are 1-6% per year, which is always less than the cost of living / inflation amount. -high turn-over in low level positions. Once you make assistant director, there are very few opportunities to move up -employees gossip ALL THE TIME. SO CATTY.
