      Pros

      ITCC has an amazing benefits package, including 10% employer retirement contribution. Their PTO accrues quickly as well.

      Cons

      Working at a community college in general can have its challenges. Students come from a variety of backgrounds and some do not have the skills foundation to be successful in accelerated courses. Most of ITCC’s courses are in an 8-week format, which is great for some students but not for others.

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling. Good coworkers. Meaningful work. Above average campus support.

      Cons

      Low pay, with no possibilities of raises for the last couple of years and probably for the next could have years as well. Ever increasing responsibilities as statewide leadership changes and state funding cuts occur. Disconnect between statewide leadership and local campus needs.
