      There is a lot of systems and functions to memorize in addition to learning your individual curriculums. Every student's case is different and you must know all policies, and procedures to best help them.

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling. Good coworkers. Meaningful work. Above average campus support.

      Cons

      Low pay, with no possibilities of raises for the last couple of years and probably for the next could have years as well. Ever increasing responsibilities as statewide leadership changes and state funding cuts occur. Disconnect between statewide leadership and local campus needs.
