Pros

1. Looks great on a resume. 2. Co-workers are very knowledgeable and hard-working. 3. Learn alot quickly. 4. Decent salary and bonus. 5. Plenty of vacation and sick time. 6. Health and vision insurance are very good.

Cons

1. Work/life balance? Ha! 2. When you factor in total hours worked, pay per hour is probably below average. 3. Face time is an unwritten rule. Appears to be weighted equally to quality of work. 4. Overwhelming number of emails, many of which are repetitive. 5. Conference calls, conference calls, and more conference calls. 6. Not knowing what the rules of the game are; constantly-changing expectations are not disclosed until after the fact. 7. Extreme micromanagement from upper leves, not immediate manager.

Pros

The team was supportive and willing to answer questions. I gained practical experience in industry research, financial analysis, Excel, and data organization while working on real projects. Managers provided helpful feedback, and the internship was a good opportunity to understand how research and analytical work is completed in a professional environment.

Cons

Some assignments could become repetitive, especially data cleaning, database updates, and reviewing large amounts of information. Deadlines could also be tight during busy periods. Because the internship was relatively short, interns sometimes had limited ownership over longer-term projects.
