Pros
- great benefit package - health, dental - for full-time associates - great rapport with many of my fellow associates - in some cases, friends for life! - 20% associate discount on most items - lots of ways our store appreciates associates - pizza / sub lunches, $5 certificates, etc.
Cons
- management on a rotatating schedule - difficult to get a weekend day off, usually had to try to switch with another management associate. - lots of "selling" - JCP credit card, take the survey, magazine suscriptions - each store has a daily goal. - even though there are exclusions to many coupons / discounts , some customers have played the "let me speak to the manager" game. The store manager usually gives in, these customers tell their friends and they expect this kind of treatment always. Why have rules?
