Pros

Great yearly bonus, low cost meals, and perhaps decent budget for IT training

Cons

Medical and dental coverage is average at best. Awful IT management. They’re destroying the Jim Moran legacy and people’s moral along with that . LOTS of politics (way higher than normal) and if you’re not part of the “circle of trust” from the mid- to upper IT management team it’s like you don’t even work there. If you’re an IT professional stay far away from this company and don’t believe all the hype about it being “one of the best companies to work for” as that has nothing to do with their IT department.

Pros

JM provides good opportunities for the range of professional corporate occupations available in South Florida.

Cons

Too much "get along, go along" culture which may be okay if one is planning to stay with JM through retirement, but is not helpful if one's career progression involves employment with other companies. As a rule, the best places I worked at encouraged creativity, systems thinking, adaptability, integrity, and trust. These values felt lacking during my six-month tenure at JM back in 2014.
