Pros

When I joined Jackrabbit, it was a genuinely great place to work. The company not only promoted strong core values (We Own It, We Connect with Others, We Foster a Drama-Free Environment, We Are Courageously Outspoken, and We Look for the Win-Win) but truly lived by them. These values weren’t just words: they were part of our daily conversations, performance reviews, and even printed on our laptops. The culture felt collaborative, mission-driven, and supportive. Leadership recognized hard work, and employees felt like active contributors to the company’s success. Unfortunately, that began to shift in late 2024. Communication from leadership became increasingly vague. At the annual meeting, we were told that while customer losses had outpaced gains, our performance was so strong that we'd still meet ambitious new sales goals. The message felt contradictory- simultaneously optimistic and unsettling. Quarterly earnings calls were replaced with town halls, but transparency decreased. Leadership fielded tough questions with polished, non-committal answers. Quiet layoffs began, followed by high-profile positions eliminated and abrupt organizational changes. Teams were shuffled, titles changed, and strategic direction felt chaotic. Despite the emphasis on being “courageously outspoken,” asking direct questions got you corporate speak in return. The culture that once energized employees turned into an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. Major shifts were rolled out with minimal communication. At one point, I wasn’t even sure who I reported to. The disconnect between upper management and the values they expected employees to uphold became stark. I imagine the company will respond to feedback by claiming a new focus on innovation, transparency, and a fast-paced culture. But the truth is, Jackrabbit already had all those qualities, and that’s why people loved working there. What’s missing now is trust and clarity from leadership.

Cons

The best part of working at Jackrabbit was that we were seen as people—individuals with voices, ideas, and value—not just faces on a Zoom call or rows on a spreadsheet. In my final days there, it became painfully clear that this was no longer the case. The empathy and humanity that once made Jackrabbit special have been replaced by ambiguity and indifference. I truly hope leadership finds their way back—because without that core, it’s just another tech company with a mission statement no one believes in.

We also hear your concerns about communication and change. We know reorganizations and new ways of working can feel disruptive, and that the shift away from a more traditional top down leadership structure has been difficult for some. These changes are not about abandoning our values but about adapting to what it takes to thrive as an innovative software company in a competitive market. Innovation requires all of us, across every role, to think deeply, contribute ideas, and engage at a high level. The best solutions don’t come from top-down decisions alone, but from collaboration, debate, and shared ownership. We understand this kind of environment isn’t for everyone, but we believe it’s how the most impactful and creative outcomes are achieved for our customers. Our focus is on building clarity, trust, and momentum as we grow, while holding tight to the core values that made Jackrabbit strong in the first place. Feedback like yours helps us reflect on how we balance honoring our roots with pushing forward into a future where we can make an even greater impact.

Pros

2025 brought lots of change, but the company learned a lot, and I believe is on the verge of some accelerated growth with the onset of some great new features in the product. The teams here are energized and ready for it, and despite some rough seas last year, remain supportive of one another and genuinely care about the clients and their success. Last year ended up removing a lot of artificial guardrails, and has empowered the product team to initiate and execute things without getting bogged down in any decision-making paralysis. We know what customers need, now let's give it to them. I have always said this was the best job I'd ever had and I continue to say it. If you genuinely care about your craft, and care about the end user and their success, you will love it here because you get to see it happen up close. - 2026 Bonus plan for reaching company goals - 401k 100% match up to 6% - Competitive salary

Cons

- PTO is less than some other firms of similar size. - Leadership has been hollowed out a bit with some departures and folks retiring, but hiring is in full effect

Pros

At the heart of Jackrabbit Technologies is a mission that drives everything we do: supporting an incredible client base. From dance instructors inspiring personal growth, to swim teachers imparting life-saving skills, and business owners dedicating their energy to such vital industries. This is why we show up every day—because we’re here to make a real difference. On the people side, I’m lucky to work with an amazing team of individuals who are always focused on delivering value to our clients. In a high-paced, high-accountability environment, we consistently collaborate to find the best ways to support the industry we serve. Accountability and collaboration are at the core of our culture, so be prepared to bring your ideas to the table, engage in candid conversations, and be challenged by leadership to push yourself every day. While the company is undergoing significant changes, I view this as a sign of progress. It can be a bit jarring at times, but I truly believe that we’re evolving to be an even more impactful player in the SaaS and youth activity center space. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a difference, this is the place for you.

Cons

Like any company in a state of growth, there are definitely challenges. The pace can be intense, and while we're constantly striving to improve, it’s not always easy to keep up with the rapid changes. The high accountability culture means there's a lot of pressure to deliver, and it can sometimes feel like you're juggling a lot at once. But if you're someone who thrives on solving complex problems and finding new ways to evolve, you’ll be right at home.
