Pros

Pay is competitive, but not worth it

Cons

This firm is extremely chaotic and disorganized. They take on far more cases than they can reasonably handle, which leads to a lack of proper attention and care for both clients and staff. When I first started, I was handed roughly 100 case files—including cases previously mismanaged by other attorneys—and expected to figure everything out on my own with little to no support. New clients were signing with the firm daily, but their matters were often quickly pushed aside. There was no clear training, guidance, or consistent system in place, making it very difficult to do quality work. Overall, I would not recommend working here.

Pros

JJ&A offers a professional yet genuinely welcoming environment that sets it apart from many other law firms. From the moment you start, it becomes clear that the firm prioritizes both high-quality work and a positive workplace culture. Working here does not feel like a routine 9-to-5 job; instead, it feels meaningful and rewarding, allowing you to take pride in the work you contribute and the clients you serve. There is a strong sense of purpose that makes each day engaging and fulfilling. One of the firm’s greatest strengths is its sense of community. Colleagues are supportive, collaborative, and approachable, which creates an atmosphere where people are comfortable asking questions and growing professionally. Management plays a key role in fostering this culture. They are not only accommodating and understanding, but they also make a consistent effort to ensure employees feel heard, respected, and valued. Whether it is through open communication or a willingness to be flexible when needed, leadership demonstrates a genuine commitment to employee well-being. Overall, JJ&A is a place where you can develop your career while feeling supported and connected to those around you.

Cons

The workload can be demanding at times and may feel stressful during busier periods, but it remains manageable with proper organization and support from the team. The firm provides the resources and guidance needed to stay on track, making it possible to meet expectations without feeling overwhelmed in the long term.
