Pros
-Good Salary -Depending on project and position, could be a 40 - 45 hr/wk job -Large company meant access to larger, more complex projects where you could gain experience
Cons
-Project Managers often over promised to the client; offered to make changes without admitting these will increase cost and/or delay project. This led to mandatory 55+ hour weeks, burned out employees, and an unhappy client when the deadline was inevitably missed. -Predominantly unhappy employees who may have enjoyed their field, but they hated their jobs. Obviously this made for an unpleasant work environment. -Projects often overstaffed which led to many employees only working on a very small subset of the project which limited potential experience. -Very little opportunity for training
