Pros
You get to work with some really well-informed people with a large range of technical and practical experience. Everyone is super helpful and really willing to share their knowledge. Great healthy culture. Very focused on being safe and ensuring you are never at risk. You are given health and safety training. When there is work, you will be working full time on consistent surveys. I recieved a lot of experience with GCN and Bat surveys. Really great for those new to the field. You are given a line manager and an office buddy for support. The Manchester office is beautiful.
Cons
A zero hour contract means the work may drop off suddenly. Your line manager or office buddy may be quite busy, and if you're on site and not in the office you may not see them regularly. The projects tend to be larger so much of the paperwork will be taken up by the full time staff. Lots of different survey partners means it may be difficult to get a licence reference.
