Jacobs is good for the interim in a bad economy... but as soon as the swing around occurs, there will be a mass exodus. - Anonymous employee Jacobs Employee Review

Pros

Job flexibility and security. Decent retirement and stock program.

Cons

If you're don't have a mentor that brought you on board to fight for you, you'll never get good raises or a bonus (which the lower levels NEVER get). There are many poor performers but management doesn't have the strengths required to document and remove those people. So, others are forced to do their own jobs as well as the job of the poor performer. Incompetence is often rewarded! As another poster stated, it's a good ol' boy system!

Pros

Great work-life balance, especially if you’re a hard worker and employer can see that.

Cons

Colleague competition, which tends to happen at larger firms
