Great place to work... not so much for being a graduate - Systems Engineer Jacobs Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay with plenty of options to move from interesting project to project and job to job. Flexible working times and decent company benefits.

Cons

The graduate scheme is a vapid and vacuous shell of a programme. Line managers with no training are expected to take time out of their day to "teach" you, but as all hours have to be booked and there's no money made available for training, there's no time for them to help. The graduate scheme is a serious of annoying hoops for you to jump through without any clear direction and aren't designed to improve your skills at all. It's a fairly relaxed place to work but I wouldn't recommend to graduates.

Pros

Love the culture and the people.

Cons

The health insurance no longer covers GLP-1 or other weight-loss related medications (specifically excludes them), which I find appalling. They did cover it, but then removed coverage for all company plans. The benefits of weight-loss and obesity-related medical coverage are so high for employers and yet Jacobs decided not to care about their employees who need them.
