Proud to be a part of the JANUS Team/Family! - Administrative Support/Office Manager Janus Research Group Employee Review

I am typically not one to put my business out in the open, as I am a very private person when it comes to my work and personal life. With that being said, I felt compelled to write a review in response to the most recent that I found to be extremely rude and false. I started working as the Receptionist for JANUS in December of 2006. The first thing I noticed was the laid-back work atmosphere and how down to earth and friendly the owners and staff were. I’ve always been an outgoing person, so it was refreshing being able to joke and let my guard down right off the bat. I was promoted in 2010 to support our Engineering Division, which is now referred to as the Modeling, Simulation and Training (MS&T) Business Unit. In 2013 my 2 ½ year old son was diagnosed with Cancer. The unfortunate news spread fast and it took no time for the entire staff at JANUS to express their heartfelt prayers to our family. This is the exact moment that I witnessed the true compassion and value behind this family-oriented business. They spared no time reassuring me that I didn’t need to worry about the financial burden of being out of work. JANUS went on to pay me my full paycheck for the 7 months that I stayed home with my son during his radiation and chemotherapy treatments. This was a direct result of everyone at JANUS and even the owners, pulling together to donate their own PTO. I was personally told by the owners to take all the time I needed, which played a big part in me being able to be there for my son when he needed me the most. I was just recently reminded why I’ve remained a loyal employee of nearly 12 years on October 3rd, 2018. I brought my son to the ER for what was assumed to be a complication from his intermittent asthma triggered by a virus. We were admitted that same day for double pneumonia. It came as no surprise when I learned JANUS leadership pulled together yet again to gather PTO donations to ensure my mind is focused on my sons health. We spent a total of 9 days in the hospital and there wasn’t a day that went by that the owners and leadership didn’t check on him. I’m able to stay home while his lungs fully heal and don’t have to worry if my job will still be there or not. I know that none of this would’ve been possible without the support from the The Loop Family and the current leadership team at JANUS. I am forever grateful for this company and what they’ve done and continue to do for my family. I couldn’t in good conscience let someone slander them and not speak up. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the owners genuinely do care about the overall success and well-being of everyone at JANUS. I am blessed and proud to be a part of the JANUS Team/Family!
