Pros

The people at Jerry are great, truly some of the nicest people work there. They give it their all and are always willing to help.

Cons

During my time at Jerry, I’ve observed a noticeable decline in company morale and the effectiveness of the people team, which seems to be at a particularly low point right now. The departure of 2 of the team’s longest-serving and most dependable members has significantly worsened the situation. Their absence has led to a clear drop in the quality of support and has created a challenging void. I understand that reduced staffing can impact performance, but these 2 individuals were crucial to the team's operations and support. Their departure has left me and several colleagues feeling unsupported and uncertain. Moreover, the way their exits were managed has underscored deeper issues and raised concerns about broader systemic challenges within the company. While I am genuinely happy for their new opportunities, the handling of their departures highlights a need for substantial changes, not only within the people team but across the entire organization.

Thank you for your feedback. We did lose two members of the People team this year and they both had a big impact at Jerry. That speaks to the great talent we have here. When someone leaves, we feel it. Please know we are hiring more People team talent, and holding the candidates to the same high bar. The People team work serving our employees is critical. We just hired a Learning and Development manager and have two additional open roles to fill that will support employees even better. I encourage you to talk to someone if you think there's a systemic challenge and need for change. Flag your suggestions or concerns to the People team, the communications team, your manager, mention it during your executive checkin happening now, or submitting your concern anonymously via to Ask Art Anything. We all need help identifying gaps and blind spots and greatly appreciate your input.

Pros

Working as a Software Engineer at Jerry.ai honestly feels like being in a constant sprint with some of the sharpest minds I’ve met. The dev culture here is wild, people think fast, build fast, and expect results that actually matter. You’re given full ownership of your projects, from design to deployment, and it’s super satisfying seeing your code go live within days. The engineering problems are legit interesting too we’re talking large-scale optimization, performance tuning, and automation challenges that push you to think beyond just syntax. I really vibe with the “figure it out, ship it, and iterate” mindset. It’s high-energy, collaborative, and full of those late-night “wait, that actually worked?” moments.

Cons

If you’re someone who values crystal-clear direction and structured workflows like me, Jerry.ai might feel a bit overwhelming at times. The company’s still scaling, so processes can feel rough around the edges and sometimes documentation lags behind features, and it’s easy to get lost juggling multiple priorities. Communication across teams can get tricky too, especially when everyone’s moving a mile a minute. You learn to sync fast and over-communicate, but it takes a bit of adjusting. Also, because expectations are high, imposter syndrome can sneak in when you’re surrounded by brilliant people. But if you take it as motivation instead of pressure, you’ll grow faster than anywhere else.
