Pros

People are very smart and motivated

Cons

Leadership will send tasks over the weekend and expect a response. No respect of personal time. Some team members are overseas which makes the communication very challenging (and they expect you to attend meetings outside of your working hours)

Thanks for your feedback. We're proud of our smart and motivated team. But, we're also sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t met expectations, especially regarding after-hours communication. We aim to foster a culture that respects personal time and encourages sustainable work practices. While our team does include members across multiple time zones, we’re actively working to improve collaboration tools and scheduling norms so that meetings and communications are more considerate of everyone’s working hours. If you feel expectations are unclear or your boundaries aren’t being respected, we encourage you to raise this with your manager or the People team. Your wellbeing is important to us, and we want to create a work environment where everyone can thrive. We appreciate your perspective and will continue working to improve.

Pros

Working as a Software Engineer at Jerry.ai honestly feels like being in a constant sprint with some of the sharpest minds I’ve met. The dev culture here is wild, people think fast, build fast, and expect results that actually matter. You’re given full ownership of your projects, from design to deployment, and it’s super satisfying seeing your code go live within days. The engineering problems are legit interesting too we’re talking large-scale optimization, performance tuning, and automation challenges that push you to think beyond just syntax. I really vibe with the “figure it out, ship it, and iterate” mindset. It’s high-energy, collaborative, and full of those late-night “wait, that actually worked?” moments.

Cons

If you’re someone who values crystal-clear direction and structured workflows like me, Jerry.ai might feel a bit overwhelming at times. The company’s still scaling, so processes can feel rough around the edges and sometimes documentation lags behind features, and it’s easy to get lost juggling multiple priorities. Communication across teams can get tricky too, especially when everyone’s moving a mile a minute. You learn to sync fast and over-communicate, but it takes a bit of adjusting. Also, because expectations are high, imposter syndrome can sneak in when you’re surrounded by brilliant people. But if you take it as motivation instead of pressure, you’ll grow faster than anywhere else.
