Pros
The benefits are great for those that can get them. Corporate has made it difficult for part-time employees to receive benefits any more.
Cons
Work/life balance is non-existent; full-time managers work 48 hour weeks with typical hours being 8:00a-6:30p (thirty minute mandatory unpaid lunch). Store discount of 5% does not really offer employees an incentive to shop where they work. Upper management openly does not care about employees. "Sometimes you need to whip them into submission in order for them to do what you want them to do." Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers are driven by fear of their District Managers and give no advice or training to those under them.
