Pros
Learn a good amount of things Some people were nice
Cons
To much politics The people who worked at my store in general The people who worked in Chef's Kitchen Some customers came to the deli and order a good amount of things just to hassle you. Then they would dump all the things in the rest room. Some of the customers in general wanted you to make a fit about them. Such as they would literally start crying and saying that if you don't give them a new package they will stop shopping at Jewel-Osco. When you say that is OK they can leave if they want they would act all surprised and keep repeating the question it'll they get the answer they want to hear. There were a lot of dishonest customer The co-workers try to take advantage of you especially if you're young. The cons exceed the pros in my opinion. Limited growth potential unless you are a suck up to the managers/ Dept. Manager. My manager also reminded me of Big Mama from the play/movie Chicago. She looked and acted like her. Try getting a job with the younger folks that are your age rather than these bitter ladies if you want to work here for more than 6 months. Also some of the employees must have thought they were the police or something. I work in the back of the store where the deli was located and there is litterally no need to come into my area. Sometimes they would do "recon" work or something by walking around my area.to see what I was doing. They aren't supervisors or anything. Are they being payed commission to spy on people???
