Pros

18.27 hour 5% discount (Yipee!) Days off during the week to interview for other jobs

Cons

Like another review said, I thought I would have learned management, logistics, marketing, etc. No, you basically just stock shelves and management does not show you anything because they are always busy. Can you show me this? No, it's real busy today. Then they just tell you to face and work the load the rest of the day. So basically as an SMT for the first 3 months you are a helping hand in every department. For example, bakeshop you just price cookies and put them in a bag for a week. In dairy and frozen you just work the loads. You spend like a week in each department. Then you train to become a fresh shop manager and move up from there. Bottom line is that you will be working in a grocery store. You will be on your feet all day, and you will be lifting heavy boxes. Also work every weekend and work retail hours as you should expect.

Pros

Fun Job. Time flies when working. Learn new skills.

Cons

Management does NOT care about you only the work you do. You will be overworked and underpaid. Very little training and they expect you to know everything within a couple weeks. Managers are lazy and will put their work on you! Work place is full of drama and creepy people that HR looks the other way because of 'popularity'. This is not the only location with problems the whole company is a mess. Constantly switching out district managers. Ops were horrible, they would come boss everyone around to try to make the shop look perfect in 1 shift, often making a lot of people miss their breaks and work overtime. Frozen loads and products would go to waste due to miscommunication between managers and no one seemed to ever want to fix any problems. Extremely low morale and high turnover. Stay far away from this place unless you're really sure you're only staying a while.
