They interview applicants for sales associate positions when the position is actually a key holder position. They do not want to give employees the correct title for the position so they can avoid paying the correct wages and health benefits for a key holder position. Employees need the correct title for the position they hold to place on their resumes to further their careers. They do not tell you that you will be responsible for managerial duties, opening, and closing the business until you are hired. This is unethical. They take advantage of you by explaining it’s a “team” atmosphere. If it’s a team atmosphere be honest about the position title and pay accordingly.
