Pros

Many personal development opportunities, great benefits, pension, flexible hours, great work/life balance.

Cons

Hard to move to different areas of the company unless you know someone. You have to have networking skills, which is difficult for some introverts. Management is not transparent with business strategy. Frequent layoffs.

Pros

Pay is good a relatively junior levels. An M1 or M2 will routinely make more than a director at another company, but our impact is also higher. Salary with LTI and bonus will push a Sr. Manager to $300,000+.

Cons

For such a large company JJ is 10-20 years behind much smaller companies in tech. It's astonishing how disconnected platforms are. One of the pros is also a con. You end up with long time internal employees promoted to very senior levels who don't understand best practices or the business. Often there are conflicts of interest in decisions they implement which are meant to make their metrics look better, but which are not in the best interest of patients or the company. Supply chain is notorious for this. They are very far out of their lane for the level of influence they should have in the business, and this is to the detriment of the business itself.
