Pros

I love my patients and my coworkers. I work in a great clinic and we work well as a team. Our supervisor is wonderful and listens to our concerns. We avoid the other issues by being an outlying clinic.

Cons

More work for the same pay. No raise even when you have multiple certifications. New protocol is sprung on us and there is now extra time to complete those new tasks that are being asked of us. We are expected to get it all done while still being able to keep up with seeing patients even when short staffed.

Pros

Very patient-centric. Our goal is to get to the yes for our patients. The patients' entire well being is considered. This covers medical, mental health, and dental care. It also may be providing clothing or shoes to a patient in need and making connections to other services.

Cons

We grow fast! There are always some hiccups that come with change management in a rapid-growth organization.

Pros

There are endless opportunities to improve the organization's structure, processes, and procedures, and make meaningful change What Jordan Valley does is easy to market; it's a meaningful service meant for people who often can't afford healthcare. The pace is sustainable. There's a lot to do, but it can't all be worked on at once. I'm empowered to tackle one problem at a time, while creating a system for completing something similar in the future. There's freedom to try new things.

Cons

There are very few established, cross-organizational processes or procedures. A lot of time and energy is spent reinventing the wheel every time a recurring project comes up. Communication from the top doesn't make its way down the chain to front-line staff, so there are internal communication gaps.
