Pros
I've been working with kids for years now. I'm a former Montessori school teacher and prior to joining the company I nannied on my own. I shied away from an agency for a while until I was burned by one too many families on my own: getting paid, hours, taxes, etc. What I love about CNT is that everything is done through the company so I don't have to stress. I'm pretty non-confrontational so when I worked on my own sometimes a family would take advantage of that. Now I don't have to remind my families to pay me, the company does. I've also had a few run ins on my own with sketchy families from Craigslist or Care.com. With CNT, they screen all the families before sending us out so I know its a safe environment. And if I ever decide I don't like working with a family there's no awkward discussion with parents. I just tell the office and they don't send me back to the family. I love working with kids and I'm just so grateful I found a place that helps me do it stress free (or as stress free as it can be when kids are involved, lol!)
Cons
I have to drive quite a bit, but I would have to drive to go to any job! At least CNT will reimburse me for gas if I'm asked to drive too far.
