I had a hopeful outlook but overall very few hours, not the best working conditions, and low pay. - Anonymous employee Jovie Employee Review

Pros

If you like working with kids and have experience they will hire you. The app gives you a good way to access your schedule and make availability changes.

Cons

I was in a couple homes that were a mess or didn't have food to feed the children. College nannies says they meet with the families before hiring sitters to work with them, but I would not put my employees in some of the homes I worked in. I got paid $11.50 even with multiple years experience and only got booked once a month, if that.

Pros

Flexibility in scheduling, feeling like I am appreciated and enjoying caring for families who value me as an employee.

Cons

I don’t have anything negative to say about this company. I have have been for over 12+ years. I think that sums it up.

Pros

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
