Pros

-Management is always prompt at responding. -Takes initiative to schedule employee meetups that are fun and engaging. I have made many new friends through Jovie! This helps with the work life balance. -Selects the best nanny families and places the nanny with them. (I have had three amazing nanny families) -Bosses listen pretty well to any family feedback and try to help as best as they can! -Families I work with rave about Jovie of North Texas and how they employ the best caregivers/nannies. I personally have received lots of 5 star ratings and hear families say all the time, Jovie is the best professional childcare company and they would use for their kiddos.

Cons

-Schedules typically vary which can be a downside since I like consistency but for others in college or with another job, this could be a pro! With my nanny families though, it helps provide more consistency with my schedule so I prefer working with these families. -At times, parents can be a bit difficult which is sometimes the hardest part of the job. Although, I have had many good experiences with families and their kiddos which helps weigh out the bad. -My only complaint really are raises in my opinion can be inconsistent. However, Jovie just implemented a rewards program that will help with this even though it is still not enough.

Pros

I've worked with Jovie Newport Beach since 2022. I started as an on-call nanny and worked my way up into administration. I am now in charge of recruitment, event coordination, and general management. I love the company culture and encourage families to use our services and for potential nannies to apply! I have met many great people through the Jovie network! It has been great!

Cons

I can't think of any cons!

Pros

Help find you a family to work with. I could see how this could perhaps be great for part time

Cons

LOW PAY for the job. After 3 years with Jovie, I was getting paid $16/hr and my full-time family was paying somewhere from $26-28/hr. They told my nanny family I was getting higher raises than I was. MUCH fairer companies out there. No PTO due to "not being salaried employees" even though that's not how PTO works! Constantly nagged about logging in my hours even though I was always on top of it. Going through them was a pain. Don't recommend. Always wondered if why they rebranded from College Nannies and Sitters was to try to separate from all the negative reviews.
