harsh environment, very cold in winter no heat. constant schedule changes, cannot plan time at home due to changes. Numbers are main focus over everything including safety. Management picks and chooses favorites who get away with everything

We are a union shop. Promotions and internal job opportunities are based on seniority and skill levels, NOT favoritism, NOT Ethnicity or religion. On January 1st USW LOCAL 2003 and its members finalized a 4 year contract from 2024-2027 All hourly employees received a $3 an hour raise on January 1st 2024. January 1st 2025 =$1 January 1st 2026= $1 January 1st 2027 = $1 I’ve learned so much over my 16 years working in the cold mill. Knowledge that gets passed down from old school to new school can’t be learned in a classroom. Ive learned by getting my hands dirty, listening, and being attentive. From coworkers, to shift supervisors, to Coldmill managers all got me to where I am now. Knowledge is key
