Pros

Hours are perfect!! No micromanagers. The guys are very laid back, easy to work with and get along well with everyone.

Cons

I can't work remote everyday.

Pros

None at all, it wasn't a positive experience. Hourly pay was good, but they nullified any travel time that was promised.

Cons

Was a crapshoot from the get-go, from lacking materials on jobs to not getting paychecks, being told you would be paid port to port, then have some meeting how youre actually not getting that and you wronged the "company".. Oh, and if you work out of town expect to share a nasty hotel room with another grown man (I refused to even make the trip if you cant respect your skilled techs enough to get them their own rooms like most companies). Nobody wants to be around their coworkers off the clock. Cheap, awful weird place and I wouldnt listen to any messages Korey sends you if youre a commercial tech. Ignore and move on.

Pros

None. I initially believed I was joining a well-established, growing company, but that was not the reality. There were no actual only one other laborer. —rest was subcontractors, and from what I was told, some were not paid what they were owed, which was an immediate red flag. I also encountered distributors who refused to sell to KMI, which further raised serious concerns..

Cons

When I first spoke with owner (Korey)I told him how impressed I was with KMI and their website. He responded, “It’s amazing what a good web designer can do,” which in hindsight was very telling. Unfortunately, my experience working there was not positive. I was never paid my final paycheck, despite being on salary. The company is small enough that the labor board had limited ability to pursue the issue, but I still reported what I experienced. While I was actively selling jobs, Korey (the owner) began reassigning those jobs to other salespeople. As a result, I was losing commissions on work I had originally brought in. This felt unethical and unfair. I also became concerned after seeing how many different LLCs had operated out of the same address, which raised red flags for me. Combined with my pay issues, it felt potentially fraudulent in my opinion, and I chose not to stay involved. Lastly, the online reviews do not reflect my experience. They appear heavily managed and controlled, and in my opinion, they are misleading. This is my honest account of what I experienced while working there.
